Papers selected by the Scientific Committee will be published in the Congress proceedings and will be presented by the authors at the Congress.  The proceedings will be published as individual PDFs with an index for distribution at the Congress, and as hardcover books via a print-on-demand service.  All papers and presentations must be in English.

For a paper to be included in the proceedings, (1) it must be received by February 1, 2015 and (2) at least one author must be fully registered to attend the Congress before March 31, 2015.  Papers submitted after the deadline are not guaranteed to be included in the proceedings whether the authors or registered or not.

It is the authors’ responsibility to correctly format their papers before submitting them as PDF files. The papers can be formatted by following the Author Guidelines or by using the editable template. The author guidelines may be downloaded here, and the template may be downloaded in Word .doc format or Word .docx format.  If the editable template is used, the author may simply write over the text of the template to preserve the existing formatting.  Each editable Word template, which can be downloaded above, contains preset formats in the ‘Style’ drop-down menu in the Word’s formatting toolbar.

Papers must be submitted electronically to Easy Chair by February 1, 2015. Papers must be written following the Author Guidelines and must be translated to Portable Document Format (PDF) before submission.

1. Go to http://www.easychair.org/ and enter your user name and password. This will take you to your submission page.

2. Click on your Submission number (not New Submission), then on ‘Upload a new version’ in the gray box at the top right of your screen.

3. This brings up a ‘Browse’ window from which you can upload your PDF paper file.

4. Hit ‘Submit a New Version’ which will replace your abstract with your paper.

By submitting their papers for publications, all authors are stating that the work submitted has not been previously published.  Any material that is reused must be explicitly mentioned in the references.  The authors assign the copyright for their papers to the Construction History Society of America and may not resubmit the papers for publication elsewhere, but retain the right to distribute their individual papers.
